A key coat style for this winter
So its that time of year when we’re all out and about a lot whether its browsing around the local Christmas markets, catching up with friends, shopping for gifts or enjoying crisp winter walks. I’ve been on the lookout for a cosy but classy winter coat that I can dress up with a going out outfit or dress down just to throw over jeans.
The high street is full of different styles, designs and textures in their outerwear departments just now from Zara to Marks and Spencer and New Look. I wanted something different this year, so I bought this leopard print faux fur coat from Biba at House of Fraser.
As soon as I touched its lovely fur material I knew it was a keeper – its soft, warm and snug but also looks really nice on! The large lapels help to cover up the neck area and the design is fitted to pull in accentuating the waistline. I’ve found that the hook and eye fastening helps to retain body heat and the length sits just above my knew so its the perfect length to offer some extra coverage over a party frock.
Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, its not waterproof and the washing instructions recommend that you only dry clean this garment, however don’t let this put you off buying it. Most full faux fur coats are like this and a professional clean will keep the warm brown tones looking fresh. Overall, I love this coat its a little different and feels so luxurious without being too much like Pat Butcher. What’s more it matches loads of my outfits from jeans and a sweater to a black pencil skirt and top for a night out.
